An Ancient Secret Revealed

"There’s more magic in your world than in ours," Grikkl (a cryptic old gnome) tells Jeep. Then he sends the boy back home to his everyday life to find it. Grikkl is referring to binkle power-the burst of energy that’s created when people connect-with each other, with nature, or with beauty.

The pursuit of the binkle’s potent power has been the driving force of myths and heroic quests since ancient times. Two enigmatic gnomes teach eleven-year-old Jeep the timeless binkle lore in rock-hewn caverns deep under an oak forest. As Jeep learns how to attract and then use its considerable power, he finds unexpected ways to solve his own very real problems.

More than magic is at work when Jeep defies Uuglash, the leader of the dark ones, in order to rescue his mother. The story weaves whimsy and magic with the frustrations life delivers.
